I am a lifetime award-winning visual artist including 28 years of successful art teaching experience in the Maryland public school system. During my former teaching career, I also videotaped many school-sponsored special events and taught photography classes to both public school students and senior citizens. As a veteran national award-winning visual artist with years of experience in both photography and videography, I know the necessary value of professional training and experience, state–of-the-art equipment and most importantly, a diverse understanding and appreciation of the visual arts to successfully capture the most beautiful/memorable photographs & wedding video stories that will be cherished for a lifetime. There are many talented technicians in the video and photography profession but the most creative and successful videographers and photographers are also educated and/or trained in the visual arts or naturally have the "eye of the artist". As a full-time digital video artist, I take great pride in personally both videotaping and editing each and every one of my unique wedding video DVD productions as if they were valuable original paintings to be enjoyed for generations to come.

In addition to all of my other national and international videography awards, Desrochers' Video Productions was recently honored as a winner in the 2007 28th Annual International Telly Awards competition. Of note, all of the national video awards displayed on this website are for weddings that were videotaped and edited exclusively by me.

Unlike many video production companies, I never contract my work out. To create original award-winning works of passion and beauty, I personally both videotape and edit your entire wedding/special event production.
