The Videographer Awards April 21, 2003 William R. Desrochers Dear Videographer Entrant: Congratulations on your work being chosen as a winner in the The Videographer Awards 2003 competition. There were 2,376 entries from throughout the United States and several foreign countries in the The Videographer Awards 2003 competition. Your work was judged to be among the best that was submitted. Judges chosen for their extensive experience and creativity in the video field have awarded The Award of Excellence to those projects which they deemed were written, produced, shot and edited in an exceptional manner. Approximately 12 percent of the entries won this award. Award of Excellence winners are listed on The Videographer Awards site on the World Wide Web at www.videoawards.com. The Award of Distinction is awarded for projects that clearly exceed industry standards. Approximately 16 percent of the entries won this award. Honorable Mention certificates were granted to about 8 percent of the entries for work judged to be above industry standards. The Videographer Awards is an international awards organization that helps set the standards for the video production industry. Winners come from video production companies, independent producers, directors, writers, videographers, editors and other production professionals; corporate communications departments; educational institutions, government entities; broadcast and cable television operations; advertising and public relations agencies; and other businesses and individuals.
