Unlike many of my competitors, I never hire sub-contractors or send "available associates" or contracted "camerapersons" to videotape your wedding. I do however have several other very talented award-winning veteran professional wedding videographers, who are also personal friends, available if requested or needed as second cameras. I personally both videotape and edit your entire production from start to finish. I also have a long-standing very rare-in-the-industry policy of only videotaping one wedding a weekend so I can devote all of my time and attention to my clients. Because I am also the "company owner" and you are my exclusive wedding weekend client, I am always available to attend your wedding rehearsal and on your wedding day, I arrive early and leave late. I never need to rush off to get to a "next assignment" or check-in with my "company boss".
What you won’t see on my website is a long list of fixed-price non-negotiable video packages with fancy names like “silver, gold, platinum and diamond”, followed by another long list of additional expensive add-on “package options”. Those “pricey premium options” are usually not reflected in the appealing advertised “budget package prices” found on many videography websites. Most or in some cases all of those add-on “video package options” are already included in my individually customized wedding video packages along with some unique-in-the-industry product enhancements many of my competitors don’t ever offer even in their premium packages. You also won’t be "entertained" by tacky "info-commercial style" special-effects enhanced video streaming “demo-tape” website samples found on many videography websites. These are usually no more than commercial advertising sales gimmicks that are never a true representation of full-length delivered wedding video products. In lieu of annoying demo-tapes that I don’t like or ever use, if you choose to meet with me, I will only show you recent samples of genuine full-length “real wedding video DVD’s” that were delivered to my clients.
When shopping for a professional wedding videographer, I encourage you to shop around and most importantly meet with and view their work in person. This will also give you the very important opportunity to verify their legitimacy including seeing and touring their studios where their professional membership certificates and any video awards should also be on display. Meeting them in person will also help you decide if you genuinely trust them and feel comfortable inviting them to spend most of your wedding day working closely with you and your other family members and wedding guests. Competent professionals will also be able to show you samples of recent real full-length wedding video DVD productions, (not just demo-tapes) that were delivered to their clients. Never base a wedding videography sales decision solely on commercially produced special effects enhanced "demo-tapes" and/or flashy sales literature you receive in the mail. When you have narrowed down your professional wedding videographer prospects, if possible, always request no-obligation consultations to meet them where they work. If any of them decline or tell you they are unavailable to meet with you, mark them off your list and continue shopping.
If you "surf the web", you will find a wide range of professional wedding video prices from under $1000 for some low budget very limited coverage packages to over $5000 for some high-end products. Be sure to question any videographers you are considering for a full explanation of exactly what is included in their wedding video packages. Most have hidden costs and/or additional add-on prices that will dramatically increase the final bottom-line price of what initially seemed to be a very reasonable advertised price.
